Nightwish objavljuje ime 6 po redu studijskog albuma 14.06.'07.Po Tuomasovim riječima sam koncept albuma nije puno promjenjen od ONCEa,iako album sadrži još neke dodatne elemente(keltska glazba..).Zanimljivost je da će se na albumu nalaziti 14minutna pjesma - The poet and the pendulum..

Nightwish's upcoming album will be called "Dark Passion Play". It will be released by Nuclear Blast on September 28th, by Spinefarm Records / Universal on September 26th and by Roadrunner Records on September 28th.

Nightwish je za novi finski film "LIEKSA!" napisa pjesmu While your lips are still red,tj. točnije Marco-vokal i bas,Tuomas-klavijature i Jukka-bubnjevi.Pjesma neće bit uvrštena na novoizlazeći album ali će biti kao bonus track na singlu Amaranth koji izlazi krajem 8.miseca
